History

The building was first used as a thermal bath house in the XVth century.

In 1750, it was the house of a cooper, Jean Bouhin. For him, the place was perfect: the yard to let the cask-wood dry, the workshop on the ground floor, the fresh cellar to store the barrels and the apartment on the first floor.

Owned by a religious organization, at the time of revolution, in 1793, it was confiscated for state purposes and used for a while as a sub-prefecture. It was then sold in favour of the state to a private owner around 1800.
